I Visit Schools
I am available for school and library visits. My presentations are geared for grades K to 3. I bring props to illustrate the history of transportation to augment Let's Go! or I can focus on nature topics such as habitats, animal classification, or life cycles with The Nature Treasury. I can even do a bit of both. Readings involve audience participation with verbal responses and physical motion.
A single reading, a half day (2 readings) or full day (4 readings) pricing is available. I follow the guidelines set by the Canadian Children's Book Centre. Please contact me for specifics. Email lizann@lizannflatt.com or choose your contact method of choice from my Contacts Page.

Teachers Have Said...
Our kindergarten class learned about transportation from the early years to recent times from local author Lizann Flatt. The children discovered the many ways of getting from there to here through interesting discussion, picture walk and exciting reading. The children thoroughly enjoyed Lizann's effective writing style and the interesting vocabulary used in her book.

Lizann Flatt brought her bag of tricks to Kilbride School. She gave a wonderfully animated presentation while sharing her two beautifully illustrated and fully researched books, Let's Go! The Story of Getting from There to Here and The Nature Treasury. Our primary and junior children were fully involved as Lizann developed her talk, illustrating it with miniature animals, and magnified insects. Lizann is obviously well prepared when she enters a classroom or library. I heartily recommend Lizann Flatt's books and presentations.
